Sun, sun shiny day.

If you have been thinking about going for a ride, a walk in the countryside, taking some outdoor photographs or working in the garden then today is certainly going to be a great day for it weather wise.

The indicators of a fine day, in particular, the barometer (recording air pressure) is rising slowly and the relative humidity is falling.  Both are indicators of a dry day.

We can expect to see plenty of bright spells today through thin or fragmented cloud.  In all we should see between 5 and 7 hours of sunshine. These bright spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 15c.  Overnight the low will be around 5c.

The wind will be blowing from the W-NW to W-SW during the day and the average wind speed will be around 7mph.  Gust speeds are already twice that figure and we can expect them to peak around 20mph.

The risk of rain today is less than 6% so take advantage of this lovely Spring day and step outside!
