Good Friday Weather

Despite being in the midst of change, weather wise, today will be a very mild and pleasant day.  Today will be the best of the Bank holiday period.  The chance of any rain today is only around 5%.

It will be mostly a day of “wall to wall” sunshine with a top temperature of around 14c.  This will be ideal for a walk or ride out in the park or countryside or getting those jobs done in the garden.

The wind will be blowing from a NW moving towards a NE arc during the day.  This wind direction will bring a slight “freshness” to the air particularly if you are in the shade.  The average wind speed will be around 4-5mph.

Overnight the sky will be generally clear which means that our astronomers will have some opportunity to make some night sky observations. It also means, however, that temperatures will fall to around 2c.  Gardeners should remember to protect young or tender plants.
