As I write this blog at 09:00 hours the radar images are showing a band of rain cloud just skirting the northern edges of our territory. This leaves us with a 45% chance of some rainfall this morning but, overall, the day should start off dull and breezy.
There is a low pressure system moving from the S across the UK and this will bring the further risk of rain as the day passes. The next risk of rain in our area is around mid afternoon (15:00-16:00) and the time of highest risk is from 19:00 hours onwards. It is 85% likely we will see some rainfall today.
Despite the general cloud we will see some odd brighter spells and the top temperature will be around 13-14c. With a gusty NE wind blowing this will feel more like 11-12c due to the wind chill. Overnight the minimum temperature will be a very mild 9-10c.
The wind will continue from the NE all day and the average wind speed will be around 11mph. Some gusts will be around 25mph.
Summary.
A cloudier day that yesterday but remaining dry.
