Over the last few hours we have had 13mm (just over 1/2 inch) of rain fall in our area and there is still a little more to come. The radar images are currently showing (approximately 06:30 hours) that the main body of the rain cloud is now passed our area but there are still some smaller rain cloud systems yet to reach us.
We can expect to see more generalised rain in our area first thing this morning and then the occasional localised lighter shower up until around late lunchtime. We will then see some brighter spells that will help lift our top temperature up to around 14c. During the evening more cloud will build and this will eventually bring some more generalised rain during the early hours of tomorrow. The minimum overnight temperature will be around 7c.
The air pressure charts are showing a low pressure system centred upon the UK and this will create some gusty breezes from time to time. The average wind speed will be around 7mph but we can expect gusts speeds reaching 20-25mph. The wind will be deriving from the SE-ESE.
A cloudy start with some bright spells later. Rain during the day too.
