Wind speed reducing.

At the time of this morning’s observation (approximately 06:30 hours) the sky is bright and some sunshine is shining through.  It will, however, not remain this way all day.

The radar images are showing that a band of rain cloud is heading our way via Cheshire and North Staffordshire.  This system will increase the risk of rain in our area during drive time this morning.  The chance of rain is around 80%.

Further systems of rain cloud will them push towards our area through the afternoon although we will also see some bright spells too.  The chance of rain this afternoon is around 60%.  The cloud cover will also be around 60-70% during the afternoon.

Our top temperature today will be around 13c and the overnight low will be around 8c.

The wind will be a less prominent feature as the day passes.  The average wind speed this morning will be around 7mph and by this afternoon 5mph.  Th wind will start the day deriving from the SW.
