Rain or no rain?

The air pressure continues to rise and the rain radar images show little or no threat to our area today (risk of rain is about 8%).  The day will see mostly a bright morning with an increase in cloud cover during the afternoon.  The afternoon will, however, still have bright spells.

With the increase in air pressure we can also expect the breeze to reduce in speed over the next day or two.  The average wind speed today will be around 6-7mph.  The wind will start off from the SW but will spend the majority of the day deriving from the NW.

Our top temperature today will be around 16-17c and overnight the low will be around 7c.  last night’s minimum temperature was 6.7c at 05:22 hours).

Looking ahead to the weekend Saturday looks as if it will be fine and dry but currently there does appear to be some threat of rain later in the day on Sunday.
