After nine o’clock

Today starts off dry and bright and I am pleased to report that, in the main, that is how it remain throughout the daylight hours.  We will see the cloud cover increase briefly from time to time during the afternoon but we can expect around 10 hours of sunshine.  The chance of any rain today is in low single figures (around 5%).

We will see the thermometer climb up to around 21-22c today and even overnight, when the cloud cover will increase, we can expect an overnight low of no less than around 10c.

The wind will be bringing warm air from the SW and it will be blowing at an average speed of around 5mph.

If you are planning a trip out today the UV index (according to the Met office) is 5.  This is moderate and you should consider applying some sun protection if you are going to be exposed to the sun for some prolonged periods.

For the cricketers of Hammerwich CC drinks will be needed after 20 overs or so.

Further good news for the day is that sun will not set until 21:01 hours.
