The air pressure continues to fall slowly and the jet stream images are showing that a deep “loop” is developing out to the SW before the jet stream heads northwards across the UK. This movement will continue over the next few days. This means that warm southerly air will be mixing with cool northern air and, therefore rain is likely. It is also possible that we will see some thunder storms during the next few days.
The rain radar image are showing that there is a very small system of rain clouds that will pass our area around 08:00 hours. It is likely, however, it will simply blow by. Overall we should see a bright morning.
It will be another mild day with a top temperature of around 21-22c. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 10c.
It is during the afternoon and evening that we see the risk of a rain shower increase. The risk of rain and even thunder today is at around 60%. The current images are suggesting that during tomorrow we could see some periods of heavy rain.
The wind today will be deriving from the ESE-SE and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.
