Dull start to the day.

It is a very dull start to the day in Hammerwich today and, at the times of observations (06:15 hours), there is full cloud cover.

The radar images are also showing a band of rain will be passing through our area at around 07:00 hours and it is 80% likely that we will see some precipitation in our area from this system.

Further showers are likely at any time from noon onwards through the afternoon and evening.  There is also the risk of some thunder showers today too. These thunder showers would be more likely during the afternoon when the wind changes direction (see below).

It will be a mild day temperature wise with a top of around 18c.  Yesterday’s top temperature was 23.4c at around 17:00 hours.  Overnight tonight our minimum temperature will be around 9-10c.

The wind will be deriving this morning from the NE at an average speed of around 5mph.  As the day passes the wind derivation will move clockwise and end the day in the SE.  The wind speed during the afternoon will increase to an average of around 8-10mph.

Tomorrow looks as if it will be a generally dry day before more risk of rain moves into our area for the rest of the week.
