In total contrast.

In total contrast to the way we started yesterday today sees a bright and welcoming sky.  The air temperature is actually 3c lower than it was at the same time yesterday but the thought of stepping outside appears much more attractive today.

Yesterday we saw just over 5mm of rain fall in our area, however, today should remain dry.  There is a slight risk of an isolated shower mid evening but even this risk is only around 10%.  Overall it will be a dry day.

Currently we have had around 33mm of rain fall in our area during May which is on the mean value for the month in our area (long term average approx 50mm for the month at an average of 1.6mm per day).

During the morning today we will see plenty of clear sky but the cloud cover will increase from around 14:00 hours onwards.  It will remain mild with a top temperature of around 19c and the overnight low will be around 9c.

The wind will be light throughout the day with an average speed of 4-5mph.  The wind will start the day deriving from the SW and end the day deriving from the NW.

Tomorrow sees the return of some rain and we are likely to be making the journey into work in inclement conditions.

A bright start cloud increasing later.
