Polling day weather

As I write this post at 06:18 hours the rain is steadily falling.  My weather station has already recorded a “fall ” of 5mm so far this morning.  The radar images are showing some respite from the rain around 07:20 hours for a few minutes and then again 09:00 hours for a more sustained period.

Further rain, however, is not too far away and we can expect frequent showers throughout much of the day.  If you want to cast your vote then you are more likely to find it less likely to rain further into to the day.  Currently after 19:00 hours would be a good time to choose.

We will see the odd brighter spell, particularly during the afternoon and early evening.  These spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 15c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 10c.

Overnight further bands of rain will move into our area and we can expect another “damp” journey to work tomorrow.

The wind will be deriving from the NW influentially this morning but we should expect a shift clockwise towards the NE and possibly ENE as the day passes.  The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.

Summary.

A generally damp day.
