Today and the weekend’s weather

This morning we have already had 6mm of rain fall in our and this added to the nearly 17mm that fell yesterday.  Unfortunately during today and the weekend we can expect to see some more rainfall.  The good news is that Monday appears to be relatively dry.

The radar images are showing the rain band that delivered the early morning rain is now beyond our area and we will have a relatively dry period this morning with just the small risk of light isolated showers.  After lunch  a more general risk of rain develops and we are around 85-90% certain of receiving further showers.  This higher risk will continue until mid evening.

The extra cloud cover will help keep our top temperature subdued today to a maximum of around 16c.  Overnight the low will be around 9c.

The wind will be deriving initially from the NE-ENE first this morning before spending the majority of the day deriving from the SE.  The average wind speed today will be around 7mph with gusts of around 15mph.
