After yesterday’s warm and sunny day today will, in general, follow a similar path. There is, however, a but.
Firstly let us start off with all of the positive news. It will be another warm day with the temperature reaching a maximum of 21-22c. This will be via clear or a partly cloudy sky. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 12c.
The wind will be deriving from the NW for the majority of the day. This wind direction will bring a cool chill to the air if you are in the shade. The average wind speed today will be around 5mph.
Now for the but.
The various radar images I subscibe to are all showing a band of rain cloud developing later in the afternoon / early evening. This narrow system will stretch from Scotland, down the NE coast, through the Midlands and down to the S coast. It will bring a 70% risk of rain to our area during the later parts of the afternoon and into the evening.
