Variable cloud cover.

The high air pressure system continues to sit above the UK and the jet stream also continues to take a more northerly position.  There is a slight change to the jet stream in that it is running from the north down the eastern side of the UK  (out in the north sea).  This will bring a slight change to the wind direction.

For today will will see a day very similar to yesterday with variable amounts of cloud cover.  It will remain mild and the top temperature will be around the 21c mark.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be about 12c.  Last night’s low was 12.8c.

As the day passes we will see the derivation of the wind will be predominantly from the WNW.  This wind direction will, generally, generate a little more cloud cover than some other directions.

Despite the variable cloud cover the risk of any rain in our area is less than 10%.  The wettest place in the UK yesterday was Bala, however, this area only received 1mm of rain fall.
