Around the Wrekin.

As I write this blog (08:15 hours) light rain is falling in our area.  The radar images, however, show that there are not many rain clouds in the system and these will pass through our area in the next couple of hours.

From mid to late morning the clouds will then to fragment a little as brighter weather moves into our area from the W.  Looking at live webcam image and other weather stations I can see that it is cloudy over the Welsh coast (Barmouth webcam) but it is currently dry.  It is also currently dry near Market Drayton (TF9 4JG weather).  We can, therefore, expect to see a general brightening of the weather as the day passes.

The radar images are also suggesting that we will see some fragmentation of the cloud as the day passes this will allow some brighter spells during the afternoon.  The cloud and damp ground, however, will mean that it will also be a little humid. Our top temperature today will be around 18c and the minimum overnight temperature will be around 11c.

The wind will be deriving from the  NW for the majority of the day and the average wind speed will be around 8mph.

Summary.  Early rain clearing to leave a dry but often cloudy day.
