Early rain will not stop play.

Earlier this morning around 0.4mm of light rain fell in our area.  At the time of observation (approximately 06:22) hours the patchy cloud is allowing the sun to shine through to welcome the day.

Like yesterday it will be a pleasant day temperature wise.  The top temperature will be around 21-22c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 13c.

We will see plenty of brighter spells throughout the day as the cloud fragments from time to time.  We can expect the cloud cover to vary from 10% to around 90%.  Even when the cloud base is at its most dense the risk of any further rain today is only around 10%.  Yesterday further east in Suffolk 66mm of rain fell during the day.

The wind will start the day off deriving from the NW-NNW but as the day passes it will move towards the W.  it is the movement of the wind direction to the W that will bring some increase in cloud cover during the late afternoon / early evening.

Summary.  A pleasant day with some bright spells and a low risk of any further rain.
