High air pressure dominates above the UK and, most specifically, our area and this means we are in for some fine weather today. I expect that today will be the warmest day of the year so far!
Our top temperature today will be around 25-26c and it will remain sticky overnight with the minimum temperature only reaching around 15c. Tomorrow, however, looks as if it will be even warmer so think of today as warm weather practice!
There will be around 10% cloud cover for much of the day but this will increase slightly as we reach the evening. The lack of cloud means two things. Firstly, the UV index will be very high at around 7. If you are working outside then you will need some protection from the sun. Secondly, the chance of any rain during the daylight hours is only around 5%.
The wind will start of the day deriving from the SW but will end the day from the SE. The average wind speed in our area will be around 4mph.
Summary. A bright and very warm day.
