WS7 weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich and Pelsall areas. 23 July 2014.

Firstly, can I apologise for the briefness of today’s report, however, I seem to be having some I.T problems this morning.

The air pressure is falling very slowly which will lead to a change later in the week. Today, however, promises to be a very warm day. We can expect to see the thermometer reach at least 28c today. We will have plenty of clear spells and this means the UV index will be high. If you are planning to spend some extended periods outside then some sun block is essential.

The chance of any rain today is less than 5%. The minimum temperature overnight will be a warm 14c.

The wind will be deriving from the NE-ENE and the average wind speed will be around 6-8mph. This slight increase in wind is a demonstration that other air pressure systems are beginning to have an influence on the weather.
