Nearly twice as warm

It is a very mild start to the day although there will be some dew on the grass and cars this morning as the relative humidity is high.  At the time of observation the air temperature was 15c.  At 06:33 hours this time last year the air temperature was 8.1c.

The day will continue to be mil with the top temperature reaching around 20c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be near 13c.  The warmest places in the UK today will be on the south coast as they will benefit the most from warm air from the continent.

The cloud cover, during the  period from the point of observation up to around 16:00 hours, will vary between 40-100%.  This will, therefore allow for the odd brighter spell. Despite the cloud cover the risk of rain is only around 10%.

The wind will be deriving from the NE-NE and it will be slightly breezier than of late today.  The average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.
