Weather and gardening tips

Looking around the weather webcams in the Midlands region shows that the cloud base is still pretty much in place although, today, it does not seem as dense as it did yesterday.  This thought is confirmed by the satellite images and the fact that there does appear to be some sun breaking thorough in most  of the webcam images.

The good news is that the radar images are not showing any rain clouds in our area today.  The chance of any rain (drizzle) in our area today is about 5%.

It will be a mild day for the time of year and the wind will be light.  it will certainly be a good day for a walk, ride or some gardening.   For some tips on what to do in the garden this month follow this link.

Our top temperature today will be around 20c and overnight it will remain mild at around 12c.  We will see around 3-4 hours of sunshine.

The players at the Ryder Cup golf will again find it cool at times up in Perthshire, Scotland with a top temperature of around 14c.  There is unlikely to be any rain during the main hours of play.

The wind will be deriving from a SW-SE arc for much of the day.  The average wind speed will be around 2-3mph.

Summary.  Cloudy to start with some brighter spells later.  Warm but humid at times this morning.
