A change of direction

After the last couple of days very mild temperatures today sees some “normality” return as temperatures are below double figures for the first time in a few days.  This morning at 06:30 hours the  air temperature was 6.7c compared to 13.2c at the same time yesterday.

The big reason for this reduction is the change in wind direction.  Yesterday the breeze was from the warming SW whilst today it is from the cool north.

The winds will be light throughout the day but it will have a cool “edge” to it.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph (N-NE arc).

Our top temperature today will be around 11-12c and overnight there will be little change.  As the day passes we will see variable amounts of cloud cover.  During the daylight hours it will remain predominantly dry with even some brighter spells thrown in.  During the evening there is a 35% chance of some light rain.

Summary : Cooler than of late with variable cloud cover.  A 35% risk of rain after dark.
