A second day of air pressure increases

For the second day in a row the air pressure continues to rise and, this would suggest, the day is going to be predominantly dry. The radar images confirm this picture with very few rain clouds in our area today.

The majority of rain clouds that do reach our area will simply blow by but we do have a 20% risk of seeing some rain.  The greatest risk of rain is around early evening (18:00 hours).  If you are travelling to the SW today then the risk of rain increases significantly.

It will be a generally cloudy day although we will see the odd brighter spell.  The top temperature will be around 10c and the overnight low will be around 6c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was 4.7c at 04:15 hours.

The wind will be light and will be deriving from a ENE-ESE arc for the majority of the day.  The average wind speed will be around 4-5mph.

Tomorrow will follow a similar pattern, weather wise, to today but then on Friday and Saturday we will see rain returning to the area.
