A walk in the park

For the third day running we have a high air pressure sitting above our area and whilst this situation will change in the next 48 hours it does mean that we will have a settled day today, weather wise.  Rain will, however, move into our area sometime Friday and during parts of Saturday.

With the high air pressure, low wind and relatively low air temperature there may be some light mist patches in rural areas first thing this morning.  These will, however, soon dissipate as the day warms up.  Our top temperature today will be around 9c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c.  last night’s low was 5.1c.

There will be a general cloud covering throughout the day but the risk of any rain is low at around 15%.   Any rain did that fall would be very light and short lived.

The wind will be generally light and from the E for much of the day.  This wind direction will bring some cool air with it and this means that the air temperature will feel cooler than the thermometer is telling us by about 2c.  The average wind speed today will be around 4-5 mph.

Today will be a good day to wrap up and have a walk in the park.
