Milder air is now pushing across our area and this is helping create some mist in our area this morning. The wind derivation will, however, mean that the air temperature will be milder than of late.
Whilst the air pressure is rising slowly we are still at risk of seeing some rain showers. The radar images are showing that rain clouds will be reaching our area around 09:00 hours and the system will not pass until lunchtime. The chance of rain during this period is 75%. The radar images show that the density of the clouds is “patchy” and, therefore, we could see some light to moderate rain fall. This afternoon / evening will be mostly dry but overnight / early tomorrow morning we can expect to see some further rain. The chance of rain this afternoon is around 20-25%.
Our top temperature today will be around 13c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 7-8c.
The wind, as I previously stated, will be bringing in mild air and this will be deriving from the S-SW. The average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Summary : Misty start. High risk of rain this morning then mild but generally cloudy.
