This morning has already seen around 3mm (by 08:30 hours) of rain fall in our area but the good news is that the radar images are showing that the rain clouds (bringing the early rain) are moving away from our area. The current images are suggesting that the rain will have moved away by around 10:00 hours.
The remainder of the day will be generally cloudy although we may see the odd brighter spell before dark. During the evening the clouds will dissipate and this will allow the temperatures to fall. Our top temperature during the day will be around 8c and overnight the low will be around 2-3c. We are likely to see some ground frost in the morning.
The wind will be deriving from the WNW-NW for much of the day and this wind direction will bring a “chill” with it. On an already cool day expect the “feel” to be around 2c lower that the thermometer is telling you. The average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Summary : A damp start. Clearing as the morning passes but remaining generally cloudy and cool
