A damp start to the day – 26-11-2014

The radar images are showing that the persistent rain that has been in our area since the early hours will clear during the first part of the morning.  Since 00:01 hours approximately 5mm of rain has fallen in our area.

Once the persistent rain has cleared we will be left with a cloudy day and the occasional light shower.  The risk of rain after 10:30 hours is around 60%.

It will be another cool day and this will not be helped by the steady NE breeze bringing cool air into our area.  This wind chill will make the “feel” of the air 1 to 2 degrees cooler than the thermometer is telling us.

Our top temperature today will be around 7c and overnight the low will be around 4c.

The wind will be deriving from a NE-N direction and the average wind speed will be around 3-4mph.
