Not much to cheer.

It is a misty and, therefore, damp start to the day in Hammerwich.  During the early hours of the morning an additional 3mm of rain has fallen in our area.  Adding this to the 6mm of rain that fell yesterday and we have very high humidity in the area.  Couple this with the mild air temperature and low breeze and we are left with mist.

These dark and misty mornings bring very little cheer about at the start of the day.  The good news is that in 3-4 weeks we will be at the shortest daylight hours day and then it all downhill towards the summer!

Our top temperature today will be around 7c and overnight the low will be around 5c.  The mist will take some time to clear and the risk of further rain / drizzle during the day is about 35-40%.

The winds will remain light throughout the day which means that there will be little wind chill to worry about.  The average wind speed will be 2-3mph and the wind will be deriving from the ESE.
