If you are stepping out today then you will certainly need to be wearing your big coat and gloves. The temperature at approximately 08:30 hours was only just into positive numbers and we will not see the thermometer rise much above 4c today.
The good news is that we will have some bright spells during the day and the chance of any rain is only around 10%. It should be a good day, therefore, to be taking some winter scene photographs or having a walk out. Despite the sunshine the gentle breeze will add some chill to the “feel” of the air temperature. The wind chill will make the air feel around 1c. Overnight the minimum air temperature will be around 1c.
During the daylight hours the W-WSW breeze will be light with an average speed of around 4mph but as the day passes a low pressure system from the north will move towards tour area and this will bring with increased wind speeds. By tomorrow morning we can expect the average wind sped to be around 10mph with gusts of around 25mph.
