The overnight / early morning rain has, more or less, cleared our area and we can look forward to some bright but breezy weather today as the air pressure is rising rapidly.
The interesting point of today is that the at 00:01 hours the temperature was 12.1c, at 06:30 hours it was 7c and at 07:00 hours it was 6.5c. It is unlikely that the temperature will reduce any further until after dark but we will not feel the double figure temperatures we have enjoyed over the last 24 hours. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 4-5c.
The wind will also be bringing some chill to proceedings. The wind will be deriving from the WSW-W for the majority of the day and the average speed will be around 8mph with gusts of around 25mph. This wind speed will reduce the feel of the air by around 2.5c . If you are going out tonight you will need to wrap up warm.
Summary : Bright spells but breezy and cooler than of late.
