Today is going to be quite a breezy day with wind speeds up to Beaufort scale force 5 to 6.  The average wind speed will be around 15mph but some gusts will reach up to 40 mph.  This may mean that you encounter some debris on the roads as you travel around today. care needs to be taken.

The jet stream is running directly across the UK today which means that it will be a cloudy but mild day.  The top temperature today will be around 13c and the overnight low will be a very mild 10c.  The wind chill factor will, however, play a significant part today with the temperature “feel” being around 3-4c lower than the actual. The wind will be deriving from a WSW direction.

With the increased cloud there is the risk of the odd isolated rain shower during the day.  The risk of rain is around 55%.
