The air pressure is currently rising rapidly and the rain that was with us last night and during the early hours is almost beyond our area. There are one or two rogue rain clouds still showing on the radar images, however, the risk of further rain in our area today is low (15%).
The wind will continue to be brisk but not quite at the velocity of the last two days. The average wind speed today will be 8mph with gusts around 20mph. The wind will be deriving from the WSW.
With the increase in air pressure comes the opportunity for some brighter spells and today we will see the clouds fragment to allow for some periods of sunshine. These dry and brighter spells should help all of those that are travelling today.
Our top temperature will be around 6-7c and in the wind chill this will feel more like 4-5c. Overnight, clear spells will allow the temperature to reduce to around 2-3c.
Summary : A generally dry day with some brighter spells.
