Snow risk deminished

The risk of any more snow in our area today is reduced to less than a 2% risk.  The conditions at 1.5Km are not suitable in terms of “thickness” or temperature.

What we will see over today is a steady increase in the air pressure.  This will bring some occasional brighter spells through a generally cloudy sky.  The cloud cover will vary between 60 and 100% coverage.

Around noon tomorrow a complex system of low pressure will move into our area and this will bring slightly increased wind speeds and an increased risk of rain.  The risk of any rain in our area today from 10:00 hours onward is around 15%.

The wind this morning will be deriving from the NE and although the breeze will only be light (with an average speed of around 3mph) it will be chilly.  Our top temperature today will be around 3 to 4c.  Overnight the low will be around -1c.  Later today we will see the wind direction move clockwise towards the SE.

Summary.   A partly cloudy day with a gentle breeze and remaining cool.
