A better picture

The air pressure is, at the time of observation, rising rapidly and the pressure charts are showing that high pressure will remain with us for the remainder of the day.  Although it will be cool outside it is not freezing.  The chance of any rain in our area during the day is less than 10%.

We will see around 4-5 hours of bright spells during the day through fragmented cloud.  These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 5c -6c at the peak.  Overnight the temperature will reach a low of around 1c.

The wind will be deriving from a SW-W arc today and the average speed will be around 5mph.  Due to this wind direction we will see the cloud coverage increase as the day passes.  Again this cloud will not bring any real threat of rain.

Looking ahead at the charts I can see that a complex low pressure system is building to the N of the UK and it will bring increased wind speeds and rain to our area on Wednesday.  There is a reduced risk of rain on Monday too.

Summary.   A brighter day and remaining relatively mild.
