Saturday – Sun or storms?

After yesterday’s drizzly day this morning has started off in a similar manner.  The radar images are, however, clearly showing that although we will be under medium level cloud cover the risk of any more persistent rain is low.  There is a chance of the odd light shower during the day but these “watery incidents” will soon pass.

As a sign of general improvement in our weather conditions from yesterday the barometer readings are rising rapidly.

The wind is now deriving from a more northerly direction (N-NE) and this wind will bring a bit of “chill” with it.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph and this will reduce the feel of the top temperature by around 1c.

Our top temperature today will be 7c and overnight the low will be around the 4c mark.  Last night’s low was 4.5c at 02:31 hours.

There is a chance (although small) of the odd brighter spell during the afternoon.

Looking ahead. Tomorrow will be cloudy but dry.  Monday will see the return of the rain and slightly increased wind speeds.

Summary.  Cloudy, mild but with some rain showers.
