16 March 2015 weather report

For a consecutive day the jet stream continues to ride high above the UK and this means that we are set for another generally cloudy day.  The radar images are also showing that there are some bands of rain carrying cloud heading our way.

The fist band of light rain carrying cloud will be with us from around 08:30 hours and this will bring a 60% chance of some drizzle this morning.  Subsequent systems will follow throughout the day and this means that we have a 75% of seeing some rain or drizzle today.  It is not a day to risk leaving out the washing!

It will feel like another cool day as the wind will be deriving from a NNE-E arc.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.  This will reduce the feel of the thermometer temperature by around 1.5c.

Our top thermometer temperature will be around 7c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 2-3c.  last night’s low was 4.1c at 02:28 hours.
