A day out with the kids?

The air pressure continues to be provided by a complex system across the UK and this is creating a stiff breeze from a W-SW arc.  We can expect the average wind speed to be around 15mph with gusts speeds of around 35-40mph.

The day will start of mild but the radar images are showing scattered showers around our area until at least 10:30 hours this morning.  The likelihood of further rain this morning is around 80%.  We will then see some brighter spells but without the cloud cover the air temperature will reduce a degree or so from the earlier 7-8c.

During the afternoon the clouds will increase again bringing a 55% risk of rain and the temperature will increase back to the 8c mark.  Overnight will see some fragmentation of the cloud and the air temperature will reach a low of around 3c.

Today is not a great day for the children off on Easter holidays but we have plenty of places that can be visited in our region and some of them are free of charge.

Summary.  A breezy day with the risk of showers along the way.
