Today sees the day start off bright and optimistic but by late this evening the air pressure will have fallen and rain will be moving across large parts of the UK. Similarly two sets of football fans will be setting off bright and optimistic this morning to the cup final but a “depression” will beset one of them by the time they get home late tonight.
Today will see some bright spells but as the day passes the cloud cover will increase as the air pressure begins to reduce from 1012mb to around 1004mb. This low pressure system from the west will bring rain to the majority of England from around the late hours of tonight and into breakfast time tomorrow. The risk of rain overnight is around 90%.
Today is certainly the best day if you want to mow the lawn or work outside as tomorrow will be probably be a bit wet underfoot.
Our top temperature today will be around 15c and the overnight low will be around 8c.
The wind will be deriving from a WSW-SSW for the majority of the day. The wind speed will increase as the day passes from an average of 5mph this morning to 8mph this evening.
