A rain interlude

Today sees us start the day with some light rain and the radar images are showing scattered light rain cloud patterns across our area for much of the day.  Many of the rain clouds will simply blow by but there is still a 70% chance of rain after the time of these observations (08:19 hours).  The risk of rain continues well into the early evening.

It is not all bad news, however, as the we will also have the odd brighter spell too this afternoon.  This may lead to the odd light summery shower.

The wind will start the day from the “warming” south-west and couple this with some bright spells and a generous cloud cover then our top temperature will reach a very mild 19c.  Overnight will also remain mild with a minimum temperature of 11c.

During the day the wind will change derivation from the SW to the W and this will help to maintain the general cloud cover during the evening and overnight.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.

Tomorrow appears to be a much more pleasant day with only a low risk of rain.

Summary. A more cloudy day with some brighter spells but showers too.
