Plenty of cloud to start the day

There is plenty of cloud around this morning but the radar images and other instruments are showing very little threat of rain from it.   The barometer, in particular, is  showing steady high surface air pressure  at 1019mb.  The steady high air pressure means that the risk of rain today is only around 9%.

The cloud will thin or fragment from time to time during the day bringing us some brighter spells.  These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to around 21c. Overnight will also remain dry and mild with a minimum temperature of around 11c.

The wind will remain light due to the high air pressure system sitting fairly stably above our patch.  The wind will be deriving from the mild WSW-SW and the average speed will be around 4-5mph.

The remainder of the week looks as if it will remain cloudy and mainly dry, however, the radar forecast models do show rain reaching our area on Sunday.  Given the time between now and Sunday the position could change as it only needs the jet stream to move a few miles either way for the outcome to become different.

Summary. A partly cloudy day but remaining dry.
