As I indicated yesterday a severe weather warning has been issued for our area. I will detail this more later.
This morning will see high air pressure of 1018mb and although it will be generally cloudy we will see the odd brighter spell break through.
There is a chance (60%) of some light rain later in the morning and the radar images are currently suggesting this rainfall could be short lived.
During the afternoon (particularly the mid to later part) more persistent and moderate rain will fall.
This evening, however, shows that heavy rain and thunder will move northwards from the South coast. Hence the severe weather warning.
There is a 75% risk of very heavy rain and thunder late this evening and we could see up to 15mm of rain fall in a short period of time. (Tonight and in the early hours of tomorrow).
The air pressure will reduce to around 1010mb by the time of the heaviest rain.
The wind will be deriving from the NE and the average speed will be around 8mph.
I apogise for the shorter report today, however, I am unable to access all of my data due to technical issues.
