Count our blessings

The radar images are clearly showing that the East of the UK will be receiving some rain today, however, by following the track of this system I expect our area to remain dry.  There is a 20% risk of rain for us today.  On this day, over the previous two years, we have received some rain so we should count our blessings today.

It will be a generally cloudy day with just a few brighter spells.  The cloud will be generally of medium to high height.

The cloud cover will help reduce the temperature swing during the day.  Our top temperature will be around 19-20c and overnight the low will be around 10c.  Last night the minimum temperature stayed in double figures at 10.8c.

The wind will be deriving from the a WSW-WNW arc and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

As the day passes the air pressure will reduce to 1012mb as low pressure systems gradually move into our area.  These low pressure systems will bring rain to our are later tomorrow (the risk increases around late afternoon / tea time).
