Friday’s V Festival Weather

The jet stream is now sitting across Scotland after, firstly, creating a low pressure system to the NW.  This jet stream position means that we are set for a mild day and night but it will be a predominantly cloudy day.

With the cloud comes a slight risk of some light showers and the radar images are showing some light rain systems that will pass through our area this morning.  It may be that these rain clouds will simply blow beyond our area, however, there is a 60% risk of some rain today.

It will be a breezy day with the average wind speed around 8mph.  The wind will be deriving from the S-SW.

Our top temperature will reach 21c and overnight it will remain extremely mild at 16c.

These mild temperatures offer some good news if you are camping out at the V Festival tonight. Unfortunately you will see some rain over the weekend but you should be packed up by the time of the heaviest rain on Monday.
