A bright start

The air pressure continues to rise (albeit slowly) and it will settle today around the 1024mb mark.  This indicates that we are set for a day will low wind speeds and only a low risk of rain.  (Hurrah!)

The high air pressure will begin to reduce again in next 24-36 hours but, for today, let’s enjoy a mild and dry Autumn day.  The risk of any rain today is around 6%.

This morning we will see some bright spells through a thin or fragmented cloud layer.  The cloud will increase as the afternoon passes and through the evening but, again, nothing that will bring us any rain.

Our top temperature will be around 18c and the overnight minimum temperature will be around 9c.

The wind will be deriving from the NW this morning but this will gradually move anti clockwise to end the day deriving from the SW.  The wind will only be a light breeze today with an average speed of around 3mph.

Looking ahead a low pressure system will begin influencing our area later tomorrow and will bring a heightened risk of rain for Monday.

Today will be ideal for getting out and about and the light will be good for taking some photographs.
