Showers still around?

In the last 24 hours nearly 8mm of rain has fallen in the Hammerwich area and there is still a chance of a few drops more today.  The air pressure at the time of observation (06:35 hours) was continuing to reduce.

The radar images are showing that there are plenty of rain clouds in and around area until, at least, 11:00 hours.  Many of the rain clouds will skirt our area or simply blow by but there is a 45% risk of further rain today.

Like yesterday the afternoon will see the risk of rain diminish and even the odd bright spell break through.  These bright spells will be a bit too late to raise the air temperature beyond 14-15c but it will make a pleasant interlude.  The overnight minimum temperature will be around 9c.

The wind will be deriving from the SW first thing this morning before moving swiftly clockwise to spend the majority of the day deriving from a NE-NW arc.  The average wind speed will be around 6-7mph.

Summary : Mostly a dry day with some risk of rain in the morning.  Getting brighter during the afternoon.
