Some good weather news developing

After some light overnight rain the radar images are showing a few isolated rain clouds that will reach our area mostly this morning.  The majority will simply blow by but there is a 60% risk of further rain today. The majority of the day, however, will be dry with some bright spells along the way too.

The air pressure charts are showing that by the end of the day the surface pressure in our area will have slowly increased to around 1016mb. This high air pressure will continue to increase over the weekend to 1028mb.  This high air pressure will bring us a dry weekend but with cooler night time temperatures (minimum of 6-7c).

Today will see our top temperature reach around 14-15c and overnight the low will be around 8-9c.

The wind will be deriving from a WSW-SW arc for the majority of the day.  As the air pressure steadily changes this will create a slight increase in the wind speed.   The average wind speed today will be around 7mph.

Summary : A generally dry day with the risk of the odd isolated shower particularly early this morning.
