Gardeners beware

Today will, once again, see high air pressure over our area but we will also see plenty of medium to high level cloud cover.  The cloud will fragment from time to time during the daylight hours to allow for some brighter spells.  Our top temperature will reach around 14c.

It is late this evening /overnight when the clouds will disperse the most.  This is good news for our astronomer friends but gardeners should be aware that the minimum temperature could reach as low as 4-5c in more rural areas.  Care should be considered for your more tender/young plants.

The wind today will be bringing a bit of a chill with it if you are in the shade.  The wind will be deriving most from a NE-ENE arc.  The average wind speed today will be around 5mph.

despite the fact that we will see plenty of clouds the risk of any rain today is only around 7%.  This means there is plenty of chance to get out and about and enjoy some fresh air.
