Armistice Day Weather 2015

It is going to be another breezy day although the wind will be bringing with it some mild air from the SW.  This mild air will help lift our top temperature up to around 15c.

It will also be a generally cloudy day with low and high level cloud this morning before the cloud bed thickens a little this afternoon.  The risk of rain today is around 30%.  The largest risk is during mid to late afternoon.

Overnight we will see the cloud disperse a little and this will allow the top temperature to become a little lower than of late.  Our minimum air temperature overnight will be around 8-9c.  This is still very mild for the time of the year.  In contrast this same day in 2013 we had a minimum temperature of 4.7c at midnight and during that week overnight temperatures were, on two occasions, below 3c.

The SW wind will remain breezy today with the average speed around 10mph and gusts will be around 25-30mph.

The synoptic charts are suggesting that Saturday will be a fairly horrid day with a high risk of wind and rain.
