Better off today

Today sees a lull in the weather as tomorrow further heavy rain will be with us early in the morning.  The Met Office have issued a yellow warning for tomorrow.  If you can go out and do your shopping today then, I suggest, that you will be better off doing it today than tomorrow.

Today, however, will be mostly dry with just a 30%  risk of some localised showers along the way.  The radar images are showing a number of rain cloud systems moving from W to E and it is unlikely that we will miss them all.

it will be a cool day with the top temperature only reaching around 8c.  Overnight it will become even cooler and the overnight low will be around 4c.  The wind will reduce the feel of the air temperature by about a further 2c.

The wind will be deriving from the SW and the average speed will be around 6-7mph with gust speeds of up to 15-18mph.

Summary: A generally dry day with just a small risk of localised showers.  Remaining cool.
