A cloudy day

After yesterday’s breezy and damp day today will be a little calmer with less rain.

The radar images are showing a slow moving band of rain cloud that will be moving across our region during the morning.  This system is 80% certain to leave us with a little rain.  The risk will, however, reduce as the afternoon passes and by late afternoon the risk will be no greater than 20%.

It will be a cool and cloudy day with the top temperature only reaching around 6c, however, with the cloud cover remaining throughout the night the overnight minimum temperature will only reduce to about 5c with the wind chill.

The wind will start off from the NW but as the morning passes we will see it switch to derive from the E-ESE.  It will not be too breezy today with an average wind speed of around 4mph.
