Christmas Eve 2015 weather

It is a very breezy start to Christmas Eve 2015 and the radar images are showing that a large band of rain is moving W towards our area.  The rain will reach us early morning and we can expect showers and more prolonged periods of rain throughout the morning with a risk of rain 90-95%.  There is also a reduced risk of further rain showers this afternoon. The risk this afternoon will, however, be lower at 45%.

It will be a cool day with the warmest part being first this morning when the air temperature is 11c.  This will quickly reduce to a daytime high of 7c which, in the wind, will feel more like 4c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c (feeling like 2-3c).

If you are out and about during the daylight hours or tonight you will certainly need a warm coat.

The wind will be deriving from the WSW-SW and the average wind speed will be around 10mph with gust speeds of around 25mph.

Tomorrow looks as if we are set for a cloudy and breezy day with some too.

Temperature : 11.1c; Air pressure : 1002.8mb; Relative humidity : 81%; wind : 23 mph SW; Rain this month : 49.2mm ; Rain this year : 522.2mm
